Christian entrepreneurs in India have weaved faith, digital design, charity and crowdfunding together to empower believers and clothe brave kids ready to stand up for what they believe in.
It’s no secret that India can be one of the toughest countries to launch new entrepreneurial efforts, and share faith openly in. Despite new developments and investment in infrastructure, and the boost outsourcing has provided, poverty is still a major issue. Around 400 million people in India live on less than $1.25 per day according to the World Bank. As of May 2014 20% of the world’s poorest individuals lived in India
Many simply can’t afford the basics, much less new clothes that really mean something. Yet, despite the risks, India’s entrepreneurs and youth are often even braver and more passionate about standing up for what they believe in.
Graphic designer Hemant was so taken by the hunger for Christian clothing among India’s youth he began designing t-shirts for local youth groups.
The demand for them has been incredible. However, again, many simply can’t afford a t-shirt. So leveraging technology this crowdfunding campaign was born to enable the whole world to get their hands on these designs, while allowing t-shirts to be given to those that really need them.
This is a not-for-profit project, with quality t-shirts being produced at an incredibly low $7 each. Via the crowdfunding campaign individuals all over the world can scoop up their own favorite faith inspired designs, empower their kids with them, and give t-shirts to brave youth most in need.
Then share with us what mission you are working on so we can help you gain more visibility and traction.
